What we collect when you use this site, who we share it with, and the choices you have, in plain words.

Your information, in plain words

Yuba Tree Pros runs yubatreepros.com. We’re a free referral service for homeowners in Sutter and Yuba counties: you tell us about a tree job, and our licensed local partner, an independent tree company, takes it from there. We’re not a contractor, and we don’t do tree work ourselves.

This page explains what we collect when you use the site, call the number on it, or send a request, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

The information you share with us

When you send a request, we collect your name, phone number, email address, town, and anything you tell us about the tree. We also note which page you sent it from, so we know which pages are helping.

Calls. Once the phone line is open, our call-tracking service logs your number, the time and length of the call, and which page showed you the number. Calls may be recorded, and you’ll hear that at the start of the call, before anyone speaks.

Visits. Like most websites, ours receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the buttons you click. We use it to keep the site working and to see what’s useful.

What we do with your information

Mostly, we use it to get your request to someone who can help. We don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t expect.

We use it to

  • Send your request to our partner
  • Answer your questions about this site
  • Count requests and calls for the referral fee
  • Find and fix pages that aren’t working
  • Keep the site safe and follow the law

Who we share it with

Your request goes to our licensed local partner, one independent tree company, so they can call or text you about the job. We check their CSLB licence first, and their name and licence number appear on this site as soon as the phone line opens.

The tree company may pay us a fee for each request or call we send them. Once you’re working with them, their own privacy practices apply.

A few services help us run the site: our web host, the service that emails requests to us, our call-tracking service, website analytics, and the map on the service-area pages. They only use your information to provide that service to us.

We’ll also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. Beyond that, we don’t share your details with anyone for their own marketing, and we never sell contact lists.

Your OK before anyone calls

Every request form asks for your permission before you send it. This is exactly what you agree to:

“Our licensed partner may call or text me about this request. No obligation to hire.”

Changed your mind? Reply STOP to any text, or let us know on the contact page and we’ll make sure no one calls you about that request.

Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

The site may use cookies and similar tools to remember your settings and to count visits and clicks. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and the site will still work.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no agreed standard for what that should mean, so the site doesn’t change how it works when it receives one.

How long we keep it

We keep requests and call logs for up to 24 months, and call recordings for up to 12 months. That gives us time to answer questions about a referral and settle fees with our partner. After that, we delete them, unless the law says we have to keep them longer.

Seeing, fixing, or deleting your details

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. It’s your information, and we’ll help.

Send the request through the contact page with the name and phone number you used, and we’ll reply within 45 days. If your request has already gone to our partner, we’ll ask them to delete it too.

Security and children

We use sensible safeguards, like encrypted connections and limited access, to protect what you send us. No website or phone system is perfectly secure, though, so we can’t promise nothing will ever go wrong.

This site is meant for adults arranging tree work on a home. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us their details, let us know and we’ll delete them.

Changes and how to reach us

If we change how we collect or share information, we’ll update this page and the date in the sidebar. The version on this page is the one that applies.
